Tiffany’s is a wonderful little cafe in North Laine. If you’re after a very reasonably priced breakfast in central Brighton, this is one of the only places where I never feel ripped off. They have loads of different breakfast combos, loads of add-ons (including black pudding – YES!) and will happily substitute bits of breakfasts that you aren’t that keen on (my boyfriend always gets rid of his egg and has bacon instead). Their breakfasts are exactly the right size too. Served on big oval plates, you always feel like you’re nicely full up or totally stuffed (depending on how hungover you are to start with!)
They’re also great for greasy spoon-style cheap lunches. They do enormous jacket potatoes, omelettes, fish ‘n’ chips – all for incredibly reasonable prices. Each meal is still under a fiver and a cup of tea will set you back less than £1 – almost unheard of in Brighton city centre. However, if you like your posh, well-presented, healthy foods with quality ingredients then this is most definitely not the place for you.
True, it’s not a place where I’d go every day (or even every week) but some days just call for a heavy fried food and starchy carb fix. On those days, Tiffany’s is usually my place of choice.
