Qype: The Three Jolly Butchers in Brighton

BrightonEating & DrinkingPubs & BarsPubs

I used to work just across the road from 3JB (in Tower Point) so it was only natural to make a beeline for this little place when our shift finished at 9pm. It’s a tiny pub, so when it’s even remotely busy it’s almost impossible to get anywhere to sit – plus they only have one cramped women’s toilet which is right by the bar. Not nice.

Despite that, it’s a nice place to go for a drink with mates. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is chilled out – probably because it’s usually full of Tower Point call centre workers who are absolutely shattered after 10-hour long shifts. The wine prices are on the slightly more expensive side of average, but that’s OK if you’re just going there for one or two drinks (plus we enjoyed the convenience of it being 30 seconds from our office).

This wouldn’t be my place of choice on a night out, but if I was out shopping on a sunny day in North Laine I would quite happily grab a pint, sit down outside and chill out in the sunshine.
